Our dear friend, neighbour, mentor, colleague, and artist Peter Corbett is facing an uncertain future. What began as vision trouble in early 2025 has progressed into further challenges with both vision and cognitive function. Peter is currently undergoing assessment to determine what is happening, but in the meantime, Peter has lost his ability to live independently due to vision failure; he can't drive, read his emails, or open his gallery in Wells this summer, with no resolution known at this time.
Peter is currently in the Okanagan in the care of loved ones while undergoing medical diagnosis. Peter is not in physical pain, but the emotional toll of this health scare weighs heavy. Not only has the loss of vision and cognitive impairment created stress, anxiety, and a sense of disorientation, Peter has also lost his independence and the ability to live in his own home and run his business an livelihood.
While a team of friends and loved ones in the Okangan support Peter in his health journey, another team of Peter's friends and loved ones here in the Cariboo have rallied to continue operating his art studio so that Peter can maintain an income during this time. Peter has never been one to ask for charity, he simply encourages you to continue supporting him as an artist by purchasing his works. However, if you cannot purchase art at this time but would like to make a small contribution, there is an option to make a donation too. All purchases and donations made through this online store are deposited directly in Peter's bank account.

A Note on Framing
We provide simple wooden framing at no charge on many of our paintings. This includes stretcher framing, placed behind the painting to provide depth and structure, or floating framing, placed around the painting to provide depth, structure, and a visual finish. These frames should not be considered professional quality and not guaranteed. They are provided at no charge to make your painting ready to hang on your wall. They can easily be removed if you wish to purchase your own framing. Damage or defect in the framing is not waranteed and does not make a painting eligible for refund.
